Client work: wtf is a Reverse Mortgage?

Client work: wtf is a Reverse Mortgage?

Ok, that’s not the title of the infographic, but it’s appropriate.  Reverse Mortgages are a financial product available to seniors and they are set to explode as the baby boomers head off into retirement and are finding out that they don’t have enough cash to pay for their expenses.

Reverse Mortgages used to have a bad rap due to the lax regulations, but the gov’ment stepped in and regulated and backed them.  So this infographic, and I use that term loosely, if a general purpose factsheet to get you started on just what this complicated Reverse Mortgage thing really is.

The client is ReverseMortgage.net and it has be distributed by Mint.com’s blog.

Hi. Very nice. I always wondered how these thing work. One question: did you flip the outcomes for what happens if you owe the feds? Seems like NOT owing them would be a good thing that would help you qualify, not something that would disqualify you. Unless these things really are stranger than I thought!
