The Ekonami

The Ekonami

Posted on 27. Oct, 2008 by Jess in economics, government

I created this little pictogram to sum up the economy lately.  I think it works on many levels.  If it doesn’t make sense to you, that is OK.

p.s.

All content from WallStats.com and blog have been banned from Digg.com.  According to Digg’s TOS, they do not allow websites that promote a product.  It doesn’t matter if the product is the most effective tool in deciphering the Federal budget or that the product has been praised by government leaders, university professors, and thousands of enlightened citizens all over the world.  Nor does it matter that hundreds of advertising and product supported websites fill the ranks of Digg’s links.  For some reason, WallStats.com and the Death and Taxes poster is contraband.  Being a small-time one-person business with a double digit advertising budget, I rely on the social networks and bookmarking sites to spread the good word of government transparency.  If you think it is quite ridiculous to ban WallStats.com from Digg, then please email support@digg.com and tell them so.

Thanks,

Jess

    That is so awesome!

And regarding digg: Seriously? How can they possibly ban you with a straight face? This is part of why Digg sucks. If they’re so worried about spam, why not let the community deal with it by digging down?

Let me repeat, digg sucks and I won’t be going there again.

Yeah i don’t get why i get the extra heat. Here is the part of the TOS they say I violated.

“to advertise to, or solicit, any user to buy or sell any products or services.”

So… wouldn’t 95% of the blogs on digg violate since they advertise? Selling posters is how I pay the hosting bills, I don’t see the issue. Ah well, i prefer reddit anyways.

Is it possible to give your posters away for free and simply charge more for shipping thereby getting around the loop hole or something to that end?

up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, b, a, b, a, select, start got you Contra cheat.

Ah memories. I guess that’s why this poster is so funny.
